As AI/Machine-Learning Specialist, you will build AI/Machine-Learning models, design and implement algorithms with the aim of gaining insights and extracting information from complex, geo-spatial data. You will join a highly innovative SME, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of problems in different climate-sensitive sectors.
- Designing, developing and deploying new and improved AI/Machine Learning algorithms.
- Conducting data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation to improve accuracy and performance.
- Documenting models, processes, and workflows for transparency and reproducibility.
- Managing individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Participating in short business trips (domestically and internationally).
- MSc degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, physics, engineering). Holding a PhD is a plus.
- 3+ years professional experience working in similar positions.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras, etc.
- Proficiency in Python and use of the Xarray, GeoPandas and visualization libraries.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Professional Working proficiency in spoken and written English (C1).
- Specific expertise: climate data, earth observations, geospatial data, time series data.
- Certifications in AI/ML technologies are desirable.
- Workload management, use of Dockers and Containers.

As Socio-economic analyst, your role will be to support the design of innovative services following the lean startup approach, hence involving potential customers since the very beginning of the design process. You will join a highly innovative SME, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of problems in different climate-sensitive sectors.
- Conducting a socio-economic impact assessment.
- Carrying out market studies and stakeholder analyses.
- Supporting the design of business plans for commercialising novel technology & services.
- Performing policy analysis on climate change adaptation.
- Cooperating with data scientists and scientific developers.
- Participating in short business trips (domestically and internationally).
- MSc degree in economy or similar disciplines.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of the co-design methods (e.g. user personas, user journey maps, …).
- Knowledge of the lean startup and/or design thinking approach.
- Professional Working proficiency in spoken and written English (C1).
- Experience in market analysis.
- Knowledge of how to design a business model.
- Experience in technology screening and roadmapping.
- Solid understanding of CBA methodologies.
- General knowledge of the policy landscape on climate change adaptation.
- Analysis of semi-structured interviews.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g. R) or programming languages (e.g. Python).
